Happy Birthday

Today is my lovely daughter’s 2nd birthday.
Two years ago at 7:41 in the morning I sacrificed my boobs and my vajooj for the most wonderful person ever.
After two wonderfully blessed years, I realize that you know you love life with someone when:
They pee on you and you laugh- you also forget to change your shirt because they will likely puke on you later anyways
You feel pride when they toot in fancy place
They pee on James’ pillow while you are trying to wrestle them into a diaper. (Well, technically it used to be my pillow, but Lolo and I made an executive decision that James’ and I should switch and it would be in his best interest not to be involved in the decision making process just this one time.)
You miss the heck out of them when they are asleep, but LOVE them SOOO much when they nap too. Don’t lie, we all pray for nap time by early afternoon.
Cuddling is more fun when it’s with them
You never have to go poo/pee alone again and it’s better that way! (at least not for a little longer)
Everything on your plate is their dinner too, and you are okay with that.

Ahhh, I love my little girl so much. She is fabulous. She is brilliant too. She is talking in almost full sentences.
“Mommy milk please!”
“Daddy sleep own bed!” (James falls asleep next to her sometimes when putting her to sleep)
“Oooh What’s Fank-fart doing! Ahhh Fank-fart pooping!” (Frankfurt the lizard)
“Daddy go work behpane” (Daddy’s at work in the airplane)
And one of my favourites:
“Oooo! Mommy’s bum Huuuuge!” (with huge pronounced Hoo-juh)

Thanks for listening to me gush.

  1. That's beautiful. It's great that you are recording those precious moments. I'm amazed at how much I have forgotten and thought I'd always remember.

    Happy Birthday, Lolo!

  2. Absolutely wonderful! Enjoy this age - I sure do miss it, now that my youngest is 6 years old -- "I'm 6 and a HALF mommy!" -- oh how fast the time flies by.

  3. I loved this story and your happy memories and thoughts and experiences with your 2yr old child. It's very personal. ..
Also, I have read some of your other 'secrets' but they seem too private for me to comment on, let alone read any more.
I'll keep to the weight loss blog from now on.
    thanks,
